panDOMO® Floor Plus

panDOMO® Floor Plus is a durable, hard wearing plain cement look floor with a more uniformed appearance than panDOMO® Floor. Our specialist panDOMO® applicators from Honestone add fine aggregates to the wet surface during installation, which harden the top layer and make the trowelling effects less visible. panDOMO® FAQ

panDOMO® is an environmentally friendly, low VOC Certified, architectural product range of polished cement render, thin set toppings and terrazzo, using the latest cement based technology.
The product is made in Germany. The panDOMO® System is a cement based mineral binder material made by Ardex and has excellent flow properties. When applied to the subfloor it provides a surface which can be polished and has special seal coats. The cementitious matrix is based on a white cement and the panDOMO cures by the Ardex exclusive Ardurapid system. For further information, contact info@honestone.com.au for a technical data sheet.
panDOMO® Floors are 2mm – 6 mm and the panDOMO® Wall is 1mm – 2mm. panDOMO Terrazzo Micro is 12mm. If a thicker floor is required or to incorporate heating, we can install a levelling compound or screed and then apply panDOMO over the top.
The recommended substrate is new or existing concrete. If you have a specific requirement, please contact us for further information. It cannot be installed over timber or aero-rated concrete.
PanDOMO® can go into powder rooms, toilets and laundries but not the shower cubical.
Yes, panDOMO® is suitable for kitchens. For commercial kitchens Honestone recommends an epoxy sealer.
Yes. panDOMO Wall can be installed over almost new or existing sound and stable surface.
No, panDOMO® is only suitable for internal areas.
Yes, provided the heating system (piped water or electrical) is within the concrete slab. Otherwise an specialised Ardex screed needs to be installed at 40mm thick, with at least 35mm thickness above the pipes/wires.
Firstly, you would select the particular panDOMO product based on the appearance you desire.  Choose a colour from the standard panDOMO colourchart.
We have an extensive showroom based at Tuggerah, on the beautiful NSW Central Coast, which showcases a wide range of architectural seamless floor finishes. We are open by appointment only, so please click the link to make an appointment: info@honestone.com.au We are happy to bring samples to you and discuss your needs.
The liquid colour pigments are mixed right throughout the panDOMO® cement during application.
Yes, the sealer we use and the Ardex liquid colour pigments are UV stable and non- yellowing.
Preparation will vary for each floor. In general, it takes one day to grind, patch and prepare the substrate where required, plus priming and masking up the walls. Once the preparation is complete, our experienced panDOMO installers can comfortably pour an area of 1000 m2 in about half a day, in ONE application at 6 mm thick. On the third day we let the panDOMO cure. Depending on the scale of the area, we polish and seal on days 4 -5. On small jobs you are still looking at 3-4 days.
Expansion joints have to be installed to the perimeter whilst honouring any existing expansion joints in the substrate.
We prefer to be the last trade in to install your new panDOMO floor, although it is best to install skirtings on top of the floor or after the installation. Where this is not possible, the floor must be protected with breathable cloth and 3mm MDF boards or equivalent.
With the correct sealing system a panDOMO® floor conforms to Australian Standard R9-R13 slip rating.
When panDOMO is thoroughly bonded to the substrate, movement or subsequent cracking of the substrate may reflect on the surface. The presences of pre-existing cracks and cracking resulting from unstable slabs can create subsequent cracks in the panDOMO floor. Cracking is a natural occurrence in concrete, panDOMO finishes do not inhibit the concrete slab from cracking.

The price varies according to the colour, condition of the slab, the size of the area and the sealer. Please note: if out-of-hours work is required this would incur additional costs

Important aspects to consider:

This unique floor, which has been handmade to craftsman standards, is subject to technical and artistic variations. Colour shadings, trowel marks and a slight cloudiness in the surface appearance are an intended effect, typical of the product.

Since this is an individually coloured product which reflects individual applicator techniques, differences in surface colour and structure (compared to the sample) are to be expected. Each floor is handmade and unique. Particular conditions such as lighting, colour of the walls and extension of the area can also modify the perception of the colour.
